I disagree too. The messages asking for return of the funtionality are evindence that there are users out there.
Safety concerns? Drones poorly controlled are dangerous? I wonder if you have any actual evidence of children getting hurt. Maybe you have had some bad experience you are not telling about?
To me, this logic does not make sense. You propose removing functionality for controlling drones on the assumption that poor control is dangerous.... Let's assume control is indeed poor, for the sake of exploring your argument. This would mean you feel responsible for drones hurting young children wich is admirable. But then: will young children be using these drones unaccompanied and does the functionality in the app mean that very young children indeed have access to mini drones because of that? And if so, where do you think responsibility begins?
I think they would be hard pressed to get hurt by lets say a The Parrot Airborne Cargo drone weighing in at only 63 grams...
Even the rotor blades can be stopped by hand and will not really damage to a person.

And if so, we are still assuming your proposition that young children are the main target group... Even if that was true, wich should be for the developers to decide, not on this single message that leaves some questions unanswered.

Anyway I believe the userbase may have grown without regard to the target group (if any can be specified). Even if this target group was specified, it should be reconsidered. Also this should have prevented the functionality from being implemented in the first place if your argument was valid. I personally think you need to supply more information about your experience regarding safety issues...perhaps your drone malfunctioned, not Tickle. Also your last statement that there are enough devices attractive enough does not take into consideration many educators have invested in lesson plans and drones already.

I agree. Information on the website suggests support for Mini drones. How about a short statement on the situation? Maybe there is a problemen in maintaining support that we should know about and Help People understand the situation?

Another teacher here. We had lessons setup for tickle and Parrot drones.
Knowing why support was dropped would also Help?
